Tibbetts Wilderness offers immersive nature-based education where children explore, create, and grow confidence, resilience, and lasting family connections.Nestled in the woods, just North of Milaca, Minnesota, the Tibbetts Wilderness Folk School is a place for hands-on learning, reconnection, and rooted living. Built on a foundation of traditions, our school will invite people of all backgrounds to slow down, get their hands dirty, and rediscover what it means to live well and wisely.

This isn’t school as usual. Tibbetts Wilderness Folk School will invites you into something rare – a learning space shaped not by walls and wires, but by cedar and sky. Housed in a hand-built cabin, our school is a sacred  craft, connection, and reconnection. surrounded by Tibbetts Wilderness and Tibbetts Brook.

We teach with our hands, our hearts and the rhythm of the seasons, offering a space to root down, rise up, and relearn how to live simply and meaningfully.
